Founded in 1892, the Hamilton Watch Company of Lancaster, PA would not officially start its watch production until March 1894, having first chosen the name Columbian Watch Co. but this name was already copyrighted by the Waterbury Co. The name "Hamilton" was derived from Lancaster’s founding father, Mr. Andrew Hamilton, a Scottish-born attorney who was instrumental in the growth of Lancaster. By 1908 Hamilton was producing a lady’s pendant watch and during the WWI period a small line of military style watches were available for men. Hamilton never looked back, arguably producing the highest quality American made watches from the 1920s through the 1960s

All of our watches have been tested and serviced if needed. We time all watches for at least 48 hours prior to listing and 12 hours prior to shipment. If it doesn't maintain acceptable accuracy, or function properly, we won't ship it and the buyer will receive a refund

Water resistance is not guaranteed on vintage or pre-owned wristwatches. Have seals and gaskets checked by a watchmaker before submerging in water, swimming, or showering
