My Passion For Wristwatches

April 26 2017

I'm a watch enthusiast and collector. At any given point in time I have anywhere from 50-150 watches. All of them, other than the ones I have selected for personal use, are stored. I periodically wind the manual-wind watches, rotate the automatic watches on a watch winder, and store my quartz watches with the crown pulled out so as to preserve the battery. Most of these watches are not purchased for personal use, but for resale. I keep the watches, some for many years, until I find another watch that I just have to have, then I sell one to buy one. Of the 100 watches I have at the moment about 20 are for my personal use and when sold will be sold as pre-owned. Another 80 or so are very nice vintage watches: Hamilton, Omega, Gruen, Benrus, Seiko, Bulova, Longines, Rolex, Tudor, etc., that I may never sell; but, then again, as James Bond said: "Never Say Never." I know that to a normal person this all sounds bizarre. I see it as a more or less self-sustaining hobby that gives me immense enjoyment in my retirement years.

VINTAGE WATCHES ARE GENERATING MORE INTEREST OVER THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS SINCE COLLECTORS REALIZE AND APPRECIATE THEIR QUALITY. THE GOOD LOOKING VINTAGE ONES ARE BEING SNAPPED UP AND ADDED TO COLLECTIONS AND ARE BEING WORN. THESE VINTAGE WATCHES ARE A BARGAIN WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE COST OF PRODUCING A COMPARABLE WATCH WITH A HIGH GRADE MOVEMENT. THESE ARE VERY NICE EXAMPLES OF VINTAGE SWISS WATCHES WHICH WOULD MAKE AN INTERESTING EXAMPLE FOR ANY COLLECTION OR JUST BE FUN TO WEAR AS YOUR PERSONAL TIMEPIECE.

These fine timepieces are in "EXCELLENT" condition ...... I only sell fine authentic watches in excellent to minty condition.
