Of all the watches that I collect and sell, this is perhaps the only firm that needs little introduction, having built its business over the last century on high quality, innovation, and style. The Rolex Watch Co. of Switzerland, founded by Hans Wilsdorf and his brother in law Alfred Davis, would first establish his business in England (1908) before settling in Switzerland. By 1919, Wilsdorf had established the Manufacture des Montres Rolex, at a time when the movements were crafted in Bienne and the watches were hand-finished in Geneva. On average, more than 200 technicians are involved in producing a single Rolex wristwatch, quite remarkable.
First introduced in 1945 to commemorate the company's 40th anniversary, the Datejust is one of Rolex's oldest collections of timepieces that still remain in production today. While a date display has become completely standard on most contemporary timepieces, the Rolex Datejust was the world's very first self-winding wristwatch to feature a date window that would automatically change over at midnight.

- Very Good - Items that have been worn regularly and have noticeable wear. Scratches, dents, and dings are more visible

Crystal: Acrylic crystal has some very fine hairline scratches difficult to see with the naked eye can be buffed out

Overall Condition: excellent condition ~ signed clean silver sunburst pie pan dial ~ signed movement runs strong and accurate ~ signed crown winds, sets, and screws down smoothly ~ acrylic crystal has some very fine hairline scratches difficult to see with the naked eye can be buffed out ~ all functions working properly ~ case has some surface scrathes from normal use ~ no damage ~ all of our watches have been tested and serviced if needed ~ stunning ~ it is a very honest piece
This is a vintage used watch. It may have lived a life before you, so you should not expect it to be new and flawless. If you want a flawless new watch, please do not buy this. If you want a piece of history in the form of a nice vintage piece, with possibly a dated inscription on the case back, then this may be right for you. Because most vintage watches being offered are between 30-70 years old, small imperfections, scratches, and wear are to be expected
